Peoples President Discusses System Improvements, Sustainability Efforts on Our Region’s Business

Peoples’ pipeline replacement program, emissions reduction efforts helped Essential Utilities earn recognition as one of America’s Climate Leaders by USA TODAY

Peoples Natural Gas President Michael Huwar recently joined Our Region’s Business to discuss impressive national recognition received by Peoples’ parent company, Essential Utilities, as well as ongoing efforts to improve its gas distribution system.

Earlier this year, Essential was recognized among America’s Climate Leaders by USA TODAY, with Peoples’ work to modernize its 15,000-mile pipeline network a major factor in reducing emissions. With more than 1,200 miles of pipeline replaced in recent years, Peoples is making Western Pennsylvania’s natural gas service safer, more reliable, with fewer emissions. Head over to WPXI-TV’s web site to watch the full interview segment.
