Peoples Pace Team Will Offer More Pace Groups Than Ever Before at 2023 DICK’S Sporting Goods Pittsburgh Marathon

Peoples partnering with P3R will lend more support to MOVERS striving to achieve their goals this spring

Peoples got Spring 2023 off to a running start this week by announcing a partnership with P3R, the engine behind Pittsburgh’s greatest races, to expand the pace team at the 2023 DICK’S Sporting Goods Pittsburgh Marathon Weekend of Events.

By offering more pace groups than ever before, the Peoples Pace Team will help more MOVERS reach their goals in 2023, whether it’s completing their first race, setting a new personal record or qualifying for the Boston Marathon.  

“We are committed to inspiring any and all to MOVE with us and want to give all participants a world-class experience, whether they cross the finish line first or are planning to run and walk the marathon in seven hours,” said Troy Schooley, P3R CEO. “By offering more pace groups this year, we are giving more participants extra support to run or walk their best race.”

The expanded Peoples Pace Team will include pacers ranging from 3 to 7 hours for the Pittsburgh Marathon and 1 hour, 40 minutes to 3 hours for the UPMC Health Plan Pittsburgh Half Marathon. Pacers also will be available for the UPMC Health Plan / UPMC Sports Medicine Pittsburgh 5K and the Pittsburgh BACK Half Marathon.
